Roses are Rose

I hope you are all doing well! I’m kind of tired of always saying how long it has been since I last posted! So I’m not even going to talk about it! I gave one enormous step towards my future this past month and I couldn’t be happier! I can’t believe I am at such at stage of my life and I feel so grateful for all the opportunities I have had and the people I have met and still meet every day.

That being said, I must admit that everyone has been encouraging me to continue the blog, and I really want to as well! I feel that now that my life is at a more stable phase I should try and invest more of my love and dedication to this amazing place we created together.

Espero que estejam todos bem! Já estou cansada de me queixar do quanto tempo passou desde o meu ultimo post! Por isso nem vou tocar no assunto! No último mês, dei um enorme passo na direcção do meu futuro e não podia estar mais feliz! Não consigo acreditar que estou numa fase tão maravilhosa da minha vida e sinto-me tão grata por todas as oportunidades que tive e todas as pessoas que conheci.

Com isto dito, tenho que admitir que todas as pessoas na minha vida me têm encorajado a continuar o blog e eu também quero imenso! Agora que a minha vida está bem mais calma vou fazer o meu melhor para investir mais tempo neste fantástico espaço que criamos juntos.

Fall tones

Life has been so crazy in the last year that I can’t even remember to take pictures for the blog! I mean it’s absolutely insane to think about the journey Miguel and I have been through during the past year.

It’s truly amazing to chalenge yourself to do the things you want, it is hard at times but allowing yourself to follow your dreams and let yourself do what makes you feel happy truly does pay off in the long term. And when looking back at all I've done, all I've learnt and all the wonderful people I met and who taught me so much I couldn't fell more grateful.

Unfortunately with all our projects it’s been hard to find time for the blog, I try my best but finding the time to take pictures is the hardest, specially now that fall is here and the days so much shorter!

Still, I’ll keep trying my best to keep you guys up to date! Because you and this blog really do make me happy!

Este último ano tem sido de loucos! Tão de loucos que me esqueço de tirar fotos para o blog! É inacreditável quando penso no caminho que percorri com o Miguel neste ultimo ano.

Mas aprendi que é verdadeiramente maravilhoso quando nos permitimos de seguir os nossos sonhos e fazer aquilo que nos faz felizes, é uma escolha difícil mas que a longo prazo compensa imensamente. Quando olho para este último ano e vejo tudo o que fiz, tudo o que aprendi, todas as pessoas que conheci e tudo o que me ensinaram não poderia estar mais grata.

Infelizmente com todos os novos projetos, ficou difícil encontrar o tempo para tirar fotos, especialmente agora que o outono está aqui e com ele os dias cada vez mais pequenos.

De qualquer maneira, continuarei a fazer o meu melhor para vos manter actualizados!

I’ve been trying to enjoy the last bits of summer even if now it is almost impossible to leave your house without tights. Well, I gave it a go last week and I’m guessing it was the last time my legs saw direct sunlight this year, at least in Paris.

Still, it was worth it! I always have the hardest time letting go of summer but once I really feel the cold I can only dream about warm sweaters and tights. So yes, now I am in full autumnal vibe and I already went shopping for sweaters!

Tenho andado a tentar aproveitar todos os bocadinhos de Verão mesmo se a esta altura já é quase impossível sair de casa sem collants. Bem, a semana passada tentei a proeza e parece-me que foi a ultima vez que as minhas pernas viram a luz do sol este ano, pelo menos em Paris.

Ainda assim, valeu completamente a pena! Custa-me sempre horrores meter na cabeça que o verão acabou, mas assim que sinto bem o frio só penso em camisolas quentinhas e collants. Por isso, sim, já estou em modo super outono!

I’ve been obsessing over this dress ever since I saw it for sale online, needless to say I was truly happy when I got it last week! Couldn’t resist wearing it out to dinner yesterday night! Hope you like it!

Heat On

Well, the first half of August is definitely gone and as September approaches that sad feeling of the end of summer settles. I read the other day, somewhere, that August is like the Sunday of summer, and it’s so true! It’s the most amazing part of the entire summer, maybe because you have already had the time to relax, forget about work and stress and to enjoy the small things but I think mostly august is amazing because you have that feeling that summer is about to end and that’s when you make the most of it, like when you know Monday is about to come but it’s still not here yet!

 So I say we make the best of it! Enjoy summer’s Sunday and wear as much white, and shorts, and colorful patterns as you can! I took the liberty of adding some suggestions  ☺ click read more for links and details!

Bom, a primeira metade de Agosto já passou e com Setembro a aproximar-se vem o triste sentimento de fim de verão. Li, algures, noutro dia que Agosto é o domingo do Verão e é tão verdade!  É a melhor parte de todo o Verão e talvez seja porque ja tivemos tempo de relaxar, esquecer o trabalho e o stress e de aproveitar as coisas boas mas honestamente acho que o que faz de Agosto um mês tao maravilhoso é a sensação de que o Verão esta a acabar, como quando sabemos que a segunda feira vai chegar mas que ainda falta só mais um bocadinho e é ai que queremos aproveitar ao máximo!

Sky Blue

You probably already noticed but I’ve been loving midi skirts this summer. It’s funny how I used to think they were horrendous and now they’re all I want to wear! I never thought I’d have a wardrobe packed with full skirts in every possible color and pattern, but they’re just so easy to wear. They’re so feminine and classic but still so fun.

Provavelmente já repararam mas este Verão ando a adorar saias pelo joelho. É super engraçado como antigamente as achava horríveis e agora não quero outra coisa! Red Fields

Time really does fly! I can’t believe half of summer is already gone! I’ve been so busy that I keep thinking summer hasn’t really started yet and honestly I guess I’ll only realize the facts when it is already over!

It’ funny how life changes as we grow up, it’s curious how differently we see the world but also how differently we prioritize our life, how motivated we get every day to do all the little things we do and how it then changes our life so enormously when we see it in perspective.

I went to see The Little Prince yesterday at the cinema and it made me so incredibly happy and thankful for having the people I have in my life. If you still haven’t seen the movie and you like the book you should definitely go see it!! Have a wonderful week!

O tempo voa mesmo! Não dá para acreditar que metade do Verão já passou! Tenho estado tão ocupada que continuo com a impressão que o Verão ainda não começou e honestamente acho que só me vou aperceber dos factos quando chegar mesmo a outubro. É engraçado pensar como as coisas mudam enquanto crescemos, é curioso o quão vemos o mundo de forma diferente mas também o quão alteramos as nossas prioridades, o quão motivados ficamos todas as manhãs para fazer as coisas que fazemos no nosso dia a dia e o quão todas essas acções pequeninas juntas vão mudando a nossa vida ao longo dos anos. Fui ver ontem “O Principezinho” ao cinema e fiquei tão inacreditavelmente feliz por ter as pessoas que tenho na minha vida. Se ainda não foram ver e se gostam do livro devem tirar um bocadinho do vosso tempo para vê-lo porque é maravilhoso!! Desejo-vos uma ótima semana!

Manucure Wednesdays - Mint Candy Apple

For this week’s manicure I chose another blue! Don’t know what is it with me but this summer blue nails are an obsession! This week I am wearing “Mint Candy Apple” once again by Essie and I am loving it! It’s the perfect Tiffany’s blue only slightly more pastel, which makes it perfect for that super summery and super fresh look we all want!

It’s not at all challenging to apply! Usually light pastel colors tend to create those awful stripes making it impossible to have an opaque, shiny manicure but not this one! This one is fool proof! I have to layers on and a top coat and so far it has lasted me 5 days and it’s still in perfect condition!

Para a manicure desta semana voltei a escolher um tom de azul! Não sei o que se passa comigo mas este verão estou obcecada com vernizes azuis! Esta semana estou a usar o “Mint Candy Apple” mais uma vez da Essie e estou a adorar! É um azul Tiffany perfeito ligeiramente mais pastel, ou seja perfeito para um look super fresco e veranil!

Ahh e não é de todo um desafio aplicá-lo! Normalmente os vernizes pastel têm a tendência horrível de criar linhas ou manchas durante a aplicação o que faz com que seja impossível ter uma manicure opaca e brilhante mas com este verniz é super fácil! Tenho duas camadas de verniz e uma de top coat e até agora durou-me 5 dias com ótimo aspecto!

There’s still nothing like taking a few days off to relax! After a week of vacation I feel extra motivated to get back to my everyday routine with that extra kick of inspiration and as importantly a slight tan! These pictures were taken before going away because I knew already the following week would be filled with beach, barbecues and shopping, and oh boy was I right!!

Manucure Wednesdays - Lapiz of Luxury

Another Manicure Wednesday! This week I have on a new color from Essie, this one is called “Lapiz of luxury” it was the first time I tried it and I’m in love! It’s perfect for summer as it adds some freshness to any look you have on, especially if it is a white look! I loved wearing it with a plain white dress and some red lips!

Now let’s talk quality! I am obsessed with Essie, I mean the color range is beyond perfection and the bottle on its own is already gorgeous but, as crazy as it sounds, I only started using Essie this year. Only because I could never find a store with the colors I wanted in Portugal and also I wasn’t very motivated to have an impeccable manicure all the time, but here in Paris everyone has their nails super well done and it has opened a whole new range of possibilities for me.

Essie was one of the brands that I started using a lot here, it is everywhere and honestly it is impossible to resist! This manicure lasted me 7 days without chipping or cracking or any of those bad things! I did use a top coat on top just to have some extra shine!

Mais uma Manicure Wednesday! Esta semana usei uma nova cor da Essie, chamada “Lapiz of luxury” foi a primeira vez que a experimentei e estou apaixonada! É perfeita para o Verão porque dá um ar super fresco a qualquer que seja o look, especialmente em tons de branco ! Adorei usar este verniz com um vestido branco e os lábios vermelhos !

Falando da qualidade ! Eu sou obcecada com a Essie, a gama de cores é fantástica e o frasco é lindo por si só mas, por absurdo que possa parecer, só comecei a usar Essie este ano. Em Portugal era difícil encontrar as cores que eu queria e além disso não tinha muita motivação para ter sempre a manicure impecavelmente feita, mas aqui em Paris toda a gente tem as unhas super perfeitas e isso abriu toda uma nova gama de possibilidades para mim.

A Essie foi uma das marcas que comecei a usar muito aqui, está em todo o lado e honestamente é impossível resistir ! Esta manicure durou-me 7 dias sem estalar ! Ah e tenho uma camada de top coat só para dar mais brilho !

Lavender Fields

What an amazing weekend! Really, I have the feeling that the following week is gonna be wonderful, just because my batteries are fully charged! Summer has arrived and it feels so good after what I consider to be the longest winter ever! Ahahah! I’m still adapting to the weather here! But this weekend definitely made up for all the other cold days!! Just got me in the bestest mood of all!

Que fim-de-semana fantástico! Tenho a sensação que a próxima semana vai ser ótima porque tenho as baterias carregadas ao máximo! O Verão chegou finalmente em força máxima depois daquilo que eu considero o inverno mais longo de sempre! Ahahah! Ainda me estou a adaptar ao tempo aqui! Mas este fim-de-semana compensou todos os dias frios!! Fiquei com melhor humor de sempre!

I have recently been thinking a lot about starting some new series on the blog, I’m quite tired of sharing nothing but my looks because truth be told is I am equally passionate about makeup and skincare and nails and all that jazz.

I mean don’t get me wrong, I LOVE shooting and editing my usual fashion posts but I feel like I would love to add something else to the blog not to mention the considerable amount of emails I get asking me to do makeup tutorials, share my nail polish color and even share my skincare routine.

So to start out I will be hosting Manicure Wednesdays where I share the nail polish I’m wearing for the week and also some tips and opinions on my favorite brands.

Love Story

The weather is finally beginning to show it’s warmer self making Paris shine even brighter than usual. That’s why I couldn’t resist wearing my new skirt from Chicwish, they always manage to surprise me with their collections!

Keep making me laugh

Everyday that goes by I fall deeper in love with this city and the life I live here. It was such a crazy year and even though I am always still adapting a bit everyday I finally feel like I belong here and like this is my home!

I’m at that point in life when I look back and everything I did makes sense and everything I’ve ever been through was there for a reason! I can’t resist telling you to follow whatever it is you believe in, even if no one else does. Life is too short to wait for the right time!

Cada dia que passa fico mais apaixonada por esta cidade e a vida que vivo aqui. Foi um ano tão louco e por muito que ainda esteja constantemente a adaptar-me, finalmente sinto que pertenço aqui!

Estou naquele ponto na minha vida em que olho para trás e todas as decisões fazem sentido, tudo aconteceu por uma razão! Quero só dizer-vos para seguirem o que quer que seja que acreditam, mesmo se mais ninguém está de acordo.  A vida é demasiado curta para esperar pelo momento certo!

Dream days

I just had one of those marvelous weekends! Full of good food, nice walks, great movies and a lot of sofa time! Needless to say that half of me is hyper energetic and excited for monday to come and the other half is desperately hoping for one more relaxing day!  Anyways, super excited for tomorrow!

Pastel Blue

This one is such a typical weekend look for me! Super girly but very comfortable as well, perfect for a casual Sunday like this one! The pastel leather jacket is amazing for this time of the year, fresh and colorful with the perfect amount of warmth (yes, it’s been super windy in Paris!).

Send a Kiss

These pictures were taken after completing the shoot for my last post. Miguel has made it a tradition to end our "photo sessions" with some fun pictures, so when we are done he always starts playing around to get some extra shoots of me just being silly me, just for fun.

Anyway, the idea here was to send me a kiss (so absolutely adorable!).

Truth is this kiss is entirely yours! I took the opportunity of having these pictures to write a post thanking you for reading my blog and always, always waiting for me! I have to be honest with you, I did not expect this. I really didn’t! After almost one month without posting I was overwhelmed by the amount of you who viewed and even commented the latest post! The views went wild and I cannot thank you enough or send you enough kisses.

Life has been so crazy this last year that it has honestly been hard to keep the blog active, but you always make me feel so welcome every time I come back! 

So thank you! So incredibly much! I am such a happy, fulfilled person and you are such a big part of it!

Spring Dreams

I honestly can’t believe how long it has been since my last post. It makes me so sad, this blog is such an amazing part of me and I love it so much that leaving it abandoned is heart breaking! But time is going by so fast! Incredibly fast and it doesn’t seem to slow down at any cost! Well, maybe when I am older… But until calmer times come, I have organized an absolutely new way to keep posts coming to the blog! Testing period starts today! Wish me luck! :)

Honestamente não consigo acreditar no tempo que passou desde o meu último post. Fico tão triste, este blog é uma das minhas coisas favoritas e gosto tanto dele que deixá-lo abandonado parte-me o coração! Mas o tempo está a passar tão rápido! Flower Craze

Like I said in my last post, I always find myself wanting to dress in bright colors and floral patterns whenever the cherry blossoms bloom each spring. And with the wonderful weather we’ve had this last weekend in Paris, this dress was the perfect item to celebrate the approach of Spring. I paired it with a bright lip to make the look even brighter and happier.

Como disse no meu último post, fico sempre louca para usar cores fortes e padrões florais quando as flores começam a florescer cada primavera. E com o tempo maravilhoso que esteve em Paris este fim-de-semana, este vestido ficou perfeito para inaugurar a entrada na primavera. Combinei-o com um batom bem colorido para tornar o look aida mais colorido e divertido.

Stripy Stripes

The weather has been much warmer lately, the days much longer and it absolutely made me want to wear bright colors and floral patterns!

This dress is so preppy and girly, I don’t think I could find anything more appropriate for my everyday personal style, I’m in love and it has proved to be such a perfect match to this transitional phase. Hope you like it as well!

Green Lights

I took these pictures on the last day on 2014 before driving to dine with some friends! I knew I had them but couldn’t find them anywhere and had quite given up on searching because the whole new year thing is so gone. Turns out that yesterday when organizing my blogging stuff, I found the memory card hidden in the middle of papers. I decided to post them because to me they were actually a perfect reminder of how excited I am for this new year, and how much I must stick to my resolutions! What about you? Still sticking to all your resolutions?

Furry Fuzzy

Nothing like a fun cardigan to overcome the unexcitement of these cold days! I feel like January is that month where you really just feel like staying home by the fireplace and wait for spring to come! Well, at least for me, after the craze of the holidays the new year always feels too calm! I guess that’s precisely the point, having time to create new routines and practice your new year’s resolution!

Nada como uma cardigan divertido para animar a falta de entusiasmo dos dias frios! Janeiro é aquele mês onde sé apetece ficar em casa á lareira e esperar que a Primavera chegue! Pelo menos para mim, depois da loucura do Natal e ano novo, Janeiro parece-me sempre excessivamente calmo! Acho que o objectivo é mesmo esse, ter tempo para criar novas rotinas e pôr em pratica as resoluções de ano novo!

Dark Forest

I have been obsessing over this skirt! Since I got it I have worn it already three times, it’s one of those items that is perfect to have exposed in your closet just for the sake of decor! The fabric is so thick and creates such a gorgeous shape and volume, not to mention the pattern which literally looks hand painted! I am literally in love! 

Estou obcecada com esta saia! Desde que a recebi já a usei três vezes, é uma daquelas peças para ter exposta no closet nem que seja só para decorar! O tecido é tão consistente e cria uma forma e volume tão perfeitos, para nem falar do padrão que parece literalmente pintado á mão! Estou apaixonada!

Red Lip

I have always been the biggest fan of fun, statement accessories! As a teenager I remember all my clutches where shaped into the form of something! My favorite one was a big heart that I used to wear all the time! In the last years my style has evolved and I grew a bit apart of the excessive accessorizing but I feel like I am slowly coming back to it! Obviously not as literal, but smaller details like this clutch make a wonderful reminder of my personal style and where it all started!

Sempre adorei acessórios divertidos! Em adolescente, todas as minhas carteiras eram em forma de qualquer coisa! A minha favorita era um coração que eu usava constantemente! Nos últimos anos o meu estilo evoluiu e afastou-se dos excessos nos acessórios mas lentamente estou a voltar a adorá-los! Obviamente não tão literal, mas pequenos detalhes como esta clutch são uma perfeita lembrança do meu estilo pessoal e de onde tudo começou!
